Legal News Note – Covid-19 – n°2 / Distance Authentic Act

Friday April 10 2020
by Lasaygues

The decree of exception authorising and regulating remote appearance for electronic authentic instruments, which we mentioned in our last news note on Covid-19 – n°1, was published in the Official Journal on April 4th.

This possibility to derogate exceptionally from the usual modalities of collecting consents for electronic authentic instruments is only allowed until the expiry of a period of one month from the date of the end of the state of emergency; i.e. in the current state of regulation, until 24 June 2020.

We felt it was important to set out the conditions for resorting to such a procedure, as well as its practical implementation, in a second news note that can be downloaded by clicking on the link at the bottom of this letter.

The Lasaygues Group’s teams are naturally at your side to answer your questions on this subject.
