Having spent six years heading the real estate group at Freshfields as an avocat lawyer, Didier Lasaygues founded Lasaygues in 1997, creating an arrangement that was the first of its kind in France. Whilst ensuring that the firm continues to take both its expertise and its image to new levels, he still brings his finely-honed expertise and clarity of vision to projects on a daily basis.
Didier Lasaygues’ experience has allowed him to build the expertise and reputation of the notary office, primarily in the areas of complex real estate structuring, urban development, and financing. Beyond his technical expertise, Didier Lasaygues has infused the office and subsequently the Lasaygues Group with his humanistic vision, creating a corporate culture based on a spirit of conviviality and solidarity. These values, cherished by the collaborators of the Lasaygues Group today, remain ingrained, attesting to the successful transmission by Didier Lasaygues.
The arrival in 2003 of Hubert de Vaulgrenant enabled Lasaygues to consolidate its position, most notably in the structuring of complex real estate transactions and financing.
The association between Lasaygues and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer came to an end after more than a decade (1997 – 2007) of perfect synergies, with Lasaygues then starting its own independent venture, further developing its already well-renowned experience and expertise in the field of complex real estate structuring and structured financing, all the while maintaining the values of responsiveness, high standards, a bold approach and legal certainty that were the hallmarks of its previous work within the arrangement.
Lasaygues has continued to develop progressively and has constantly improved the effectiveness of the services which it provides to its clients in all areas of law in which it practises.
As such, the firm took on a new notary lawyer in 2011, François Gauthier, who became a partner five years later, thus strengthening its expertise in complex real estate transactions and structured financing and extending it to renewable energies.
Lasaygues considerably widened and underpinned its areas of activity with the 2016 appointments of three further notary lawyers: Stéphanie Boutemy, an expert in commercial real estate who enjoys an excellent standing among international investors; Anne-Laure Lavoine, a renowned specialist in structured financing, and Lélia Penven, an expert in real estate structuring and complex financing.
The firm continued to expand and enhance its reputation in 2017, in particular with the arrival of Sophie Cascales, an acknowledged specialist in public real estate.
In 2018, two long-term assistants of the firm – Camille Chansarel and Stéphanie Grognou – were named notary lawyers. In 2019, Isabelle Vidal-Subias is also named notary lawyer followed in 2020 by Alexandre Baikalov.
Stéphanie Grognou was names parter in 2023.
In 2024, six assistants from the notary office are named as notary : Emma Franchitti, Mélanie Hostingue, Marine Le Jeannic, Céline Payen, Marion Rey, and Guillaume Robin.
Today, Lasaygues counts fourteen notaries and over thirty collaborators.
At the same time, Lasaygues has formed itself into a Group to better meet the needs and changes in the economic market. This transformation has given rise to several entities and legal partnerships, built over years of close collaboration with legal experts.
The Lasaygues Group consists, in addition to the historic office, of the following entities:
LBH Notaires – Paris 16, led by Linda Bozetti with the assistance of Elodie Feret and Caroline Pichowicz.
IVS Notaires – Lille, headed by Isabelle Vidal-Subias, assisted by Tassadit Si Hocine.
Aix Mistral Notaires, led by Sophie Cascales.
The Lasaygues Group thus counts twenty notaries and around forty collaborators.
Finally, AGN Haussmann offers the combined expertise of notary and lawyer professions.
